This 1945 Willys Jeep CJ-2A has been restored 5 years ago to resemble US Military specification and comes with a range of period extras.
Complete with an original World War 2 Radio, the shovels on the sides and the military decals from the period.
The CJ-2A was the first of the civilian specification Jeeps built after World War 2 to sell to the general public and to replace the MB. CJ standing for Civilian Jeep.
This one has been given a full restoration to resemble the World War 2 US military Jeep, the correct olive green and the obligatory white stars.
The car on arrival into the UK will receive a new MOT and will be registered on the NOVA database.
Exterior
The Jeep was built to be a close replica of the MB that would have been used in World War 2. The use of the rope around the front and the correct US Military decals complete to make the Jeep look like an original and many people wouldn’t know any different.
The exterior really looks the part but so does the underside. It clearly shows how the dry climate of South Africa is kind to classic cars.

Museum Visits
Interior
The interior is relatively basic with three seats and three gear levers. Thankfully a full set of instructions are provided on the dash. The black floor and jerry can are true to the period look, but it’s the period radio which really completes the look of the Jeep.
Engine & Running Gear
The engine is on the button and starts straight away, no doubt helped by the electronic ignition.
