1972 Citroen SM 2.7
The first car for sale is the 1972 Citroën SM with the 2.7 Maserati derived V6. Purchased by Mr Brewer needing restoration, Mike put the car through a full restoration, being unveiled on stage at the 2018 NEC Classic Motor Show.
It has won a Concours d’Elegance trophy at a Citroën event and is also to feature in an upcoming episode of The Grand Tour where the car is driven by Jeremy Clarkson.
1967 Mini Cooper 1275 S
The next lot is the 1967 Mini Cooper 1275 S, car which has quite an interesting history.
The car was purchased by American Phil Reed who shipped it to California in the 1980s who then added it to his collection.
Some 40 years later Mike was visiting the collection for an episode of Wheeler Dealers and recognised the vehicle and did a deal bringing the car back to the UK.
1961 Austin Seven Mini 1961
This early floor start 1961 Austin Seven Mini was another car purchased from the Phil Reed collection.
After Phil passed away, his sons were left the collection, but they didn’t share his enthusiasm for the cars and happily took Mike’s offer.
1966 Ford Cortina Lotus Mk1
The Lotus Cortina Mk1 is a highly desirable car, and this 1966 example is in really nice condition. Fully restored in 1999 with no expense spared over a period of eight years.
2002 Ferrari 360 Spider F1
The last of the cars is the newest, a 2002 Ferrari 360 spider F1 has an excellent history. Presented very well in Tour De France Blu over Beige and Blu, the car is on the button as they say.
Mike is selling the cars after deciding to have a bit of a reshuffle.
When asked about selling the cars Mike said; “I am sad to see these cars go, but it was time for a change, I want to consolidate my collection. Each car has its own unique story, and they all deserve a new home.
