Turbo Technics The British Tuning Firm Turns 40 And Is Celebrating At Donington Park

Turbo Technics the renowned British tuning firm turns 40 this year and is celebrating at Donington Park in conjunction with the Time Attack round.

This means that there will be many Turbo Technics built cars there, with all owners of Turbo Technics vehicles eligible to attend from either road or racing. Everyone will be able to take part in a special parade lap to create a moving display.

The event will take place on the Bank Holiday Monday of the 30th of August 2021.

The company was founded in 1981 and has become a global leader in both turbocharger technology and its comprehensive range of turbocharger kits and remanufacturing machines.

Turbo Technics became famous for their conversion kits which made high performance tuning available to a large consumer market. The company continues to do this today with convenient performance upgrades with its hybrid and bespoke performance turbochargers.

For the commercial market the Turbo Technics VSR balancing, and flow test machines have helped to transform the global turbocharger manufacturing industry.

For the event on the 30th of August all owners of Turbo Technics modified vehicles are invited to apply to attend the celebration with their cars which will form a display in a central paddock of Donington Park. This will give them free entry and the chance to drive in the parade lap of the circuit. Souvenirs of the day will be presented as well as prizes for the best and most authentic cars.

The company’s own 600 bhp Ford Focus will be there to compete in the Time Attack meetings’ Club Pro class, driven by turbo Technics founder and Managing Director Geoff Kershaw.

Said Geoff: “Turbo technics was developed from a passion for engineering, and 40 years on our core speciality remains high speed rotating machinery, so there is no better way of celebrating this than at a Time Attack event. We look forward to amassing an eclectic array of the machines that we have worked on over the years, from the Fords, Volkswagens and Peugeots at one end of the automotive spectrum to Mercedes and Jaguars at the other – there will be examples of these and many more both on display and on track.”

Kershaw added: “We are proud to be able to celebrate our 40th anniversary with an event that so encapsulates our ethos. Welcoming owners of our cars from all eras to one of the homes of British motorsport will be a fitting tribute to all those that have contributed to our success along the way.”

If you have a Turbo Technics converted vehicle then you can apply to attend by submitting your details and photos of the car to: [email protected] or sign up on the company’s website: TurboTechnics.com
