Another long overdue update on the now famous SAAB 9000… It’s been doing the usual rounds and in use as the do it all vehicle. The trouble is that it’s so useful it seems to be in constant demand.
I thought it a good idea to do the water pump seeing as it was now making a constant squealing noise. It wasn’t because it was gong to fail, it was just scaring small children…
So, off comes the wheel and arch liner, again…
And pop the belt off. The water pump thankfully isn’t too difficult a job to do.
Reassembly isn’t too difficult, and thankfully everything has gone together well enough for it not to leak. Although threading the serpentine belt can be like handling spaghetti…
