Over 3,500 Lots And 30 Plus Collections At Mecum Kissimmee January 2022
This January 2022 Mecum presents the largest collector car auction in the world with over 3,500 lots estimated over 11 days of the sale including over 30 collections. Some 500 vehicles are offered with no reserve but they are likely to attract some serious bidding.
Some of the star lots include some very low mileage newer cars and some fantastic Corvettes.
“The continued strength of the collector car market has captured the attention of many long-time collectors who are bringing to market a remarkable assortment of investment-grade and specialty vehicles,” Vice President of Consignments Frank Mecum stated.
“These collections are sure to create competition among bidders and also provide an excellent presentation for spectators at Mecum Kissimmee 2022.”
1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Gulf
Lifelong Corvette collector John Justo is offering ten vehicles for sale, seven of them are rare vintage Corvettes.
The headlining vehicle of the collection is the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Gulf One, which is one of the most successful production racing Corvettes of the C2 era. It is also one of only 14 regular production Corvette serial numbers assigned specifically for racing and it was the first car to be prepared with new race technology developed specifically for the Z06 which was later adapted for the prototype Grand Sports.
1960 Chevrolet Corvette 'Race Rat' Tanker
Another of John Justo’s star lots is the 1960 Chevrolet Corvette “Race Rat” Tanker (Lot F158), one of only 10 produced and this car finished first in class at the 1960 12 Hours of Sebring.
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Vault Find Corvette
One of the collections is from Jackie and Gary Runyon, with a total of 34 vehicles for sale, 33 of them with no reserve.
The headliner of the collection id the Vault Find 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, Lot S113, that was with the original owner until 2017 and has only 8,533 miles.
2021 Ferrari SF90 Stradale
Michael Fux has been collecting supercars for a while and has some very nice low mileage cars in his collection. Six of them are in this auction.
The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is practically new, being a 2021 car but has only 57 miles on it. He probably never drove it and if you want to get into a SF90 this might be a good way to do so.
2020 McLaren Speedtail,
Another of the Michael Fux collection is the 2020 McLaren Speedtail. Now this is likely to become highly collectable in only a few years, so might be the best chance to get one. Another very low mileage, this time 194 miles, meaning it’s as good as new and certainly not run in.
