Mini Remastered Oselli Edition From David Brown Automotive
David Brown Automotive have built the first Remastered Mini Oselli Edition for a Scandinavian customer.
These bespoke one of a kind Mini’s are hand finished to each customer’s specification at Brown’s facility at Silverstone and take some 1,4000 hours to build. The Oselli edition is a performance focussed development with Oselli providing the engine tuning, performance enhancement and gearbox remastering. Only 60 of these will be built and was announced in 2019 in conjunction with the Mini’s 60th birthday.
Oselli came to fame in the 1960s, the British engine tuning specialist being synonymous with Mini’s were the obvious choice for David Brown Automotive to turn to for this project. The car is essentially race ready and the most powerful Mini Remastered ever created.
The first one built, now in Scandinavia, has a 4-seater configuration and comes with bespoke Carbon Grey with Heritage Green accents. The number delete on the grille, rear and on the interior with 13″ graphite alloy wheels.
The power output of 125 hp at 6,200 rpm is impressive, so is the torque at 113 lb-ft at 4,500 rpm. This means the Mini can accelerate from 0 to 62 in 7.8 seconds. The remastered Mini has been developed to be driven in city traffic and on the racetrack if one wishes.
David Brown, CEO and Founder at David Brown Automotive, said:
“We are enormously proud to have completed the first customer delivery of Mini Remastered, Oselli Edition, just seven months after its full unveiling. There is an outstanding orderbook for this limited-edition model, with customers from around the globe set to receive their bespoke car in the coming months. This is an exciting project for the brand, and we are delighted with the interest it has created from customers in every part of the world.”
There are plenty of interior options available, from a two bucket seat configuration with a hand trimmed rear roll cage and four point harnesses, to a four seat layout, both luxuriously trimmed in leather and Alcantara.
The exterior can be ordered in several colourways with contrasting stripes that carry on through the interior. Carbon grey and old English White base colours come with accents in Competition red, Royal blue or Heritage Green. All being hand painted to maintain the high quality finish of each car.
Yes they’re expensive, but probably worth it.
