James Bond Playmobil Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger Edition; Surely It’s For Adults?
The new PLAYMOBIL James Bond Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger edition is now available to buy. It’s strange to think this comes from a company that produces children’s toys as this is clearly aimed at adults, maybe it’s just me.
The Aston Martin DB5 was made famous in the 1964 film Goldfinger with Sean Connery has been turned into quite an accurate replica by PLAYMOBIL for the first time by making a deal with Aston which was brokered by IMG.
Not only is this an accurate replica it contains a full suite of working gadgets, so when your included James Bond figure is on Her Majesty’s Secret Service you can take on anything in your living room. Let’s face it, we’re going to play with it aren’t we.
Q Division has equipped the Aston with the famous ejector seat which is triggered by pressing the exhaust pipes catapulting a figure of your choice through the roof through removable panels. There are the rotating number plates front and rear, with three different registration options. The bulletproof shield in the rear and the extending front bumper. Machine guns hidden beneath the headlights.
With the DB5 you get four figures, James Bond 007, Goldfinger, Oddjob and a henchman.
