Configure Your Own Little Car Company Baby Bugatti II Type 35
Configure your own, new Bugatti Type 35, 75% scale Baby II replica with the help of the Little Car Company.
This all new online tool has been built with renowned software developer Ibisdev, to give customers the chance to build to a car to their individual specification in 3D augmented reality (AR). Or simply play with it and dream as I did.
The Little Car Company has partnered with the famous French marque to develop the Baby Bugatti II as a tribute to the original Type 35 Baby of Ettore Bugatti from 1926, who gave it as a gift to his youngest son Roland. Now they are offering a limited amount of these to those who may be in a position to afford the 75% scale replica.
Just as the real Type 35, there will only be 500 built and each car will be hand built. They even come with a genuine, solid silver Bugatti Macaron.
In a small way the Little Car Company are honouring the history of the original Type 35, the colours and leathers that are available have been carefully selected to be period correct. The names celebrate Bugatti heritage, your interior can be specified with Halle Green or Raphanel Blue, paying homage to Bugatti racing history.
If your tasted are more modern, you can have exterior colours such as Bugatti Light Blue Sport, if you have a new one to match it to.
What’s really fun is that there is a configurator to play with and you can try out the different combinations in real time and it’s really good.
The Little Car Company’s 3D AR tool gives a 100% scale representation of the finished car, so you can imagine what it would look like in your garage, or even living room.

Ben Hedley, CEO of The Little Car Company, said:
“When you get behind the wheel of an iconic car, such as the Bugatti Baby II, it’s made all the much sweeter when you know your purchase has been personalised to your own specific, inimitable taste. And with the launch of our new configurator, the personalisation process that we offer our customers has been made even more immersive, detailed and bespoke.
“Our team has worked hard to ensure that customers can truly enjoy the process of choosing and designing their Bugatti Baby II, and our new AR configurator allows customers this pleasure all from the comfort of their own home, or wherever they chose to view their prospective Bugatti Baby II in-situ. We believe that we’ve created an end-to-end process that ensures customers will derive as much pleasure from the creation of their car as they get from driving it.”
With the configurator, customers are able to pick from three versions; Base, Vitesse and Pur Sang. All Baby Bugatti II are rear wheel drive powered by an electric motor, the Base version being the least powerful with its Normal mode limited to 12 mph, or 20 kmh with 1 kW, 1.3 bhp. The Expert mode puts out 4 kW, 5.4 bhp, which improves acceleration and has a limited top speed of 30 mph or 45 kph.
The Vitesse and Pur Sang have both the Novice and Expert mode like the Base, but there is much more power. The famous Bugatti Speed key unlocks 10 kW, 13.4 bhp giving a top speed of 42 mph, or 70 kph. Though for some reason if you are in North America or Canada they come with a 30 kmh restriction.
The Pur Sang is a very different proposition. The body is formed using the same coachbuilding methods as the original and comes in hand-formed aluminium. Each Pur Sang takes over 200 hours to finish.
