Forgotten Classic Car Favourites Of The 60s, 70s & 80s Set For The Beaulieu International Autojumble

Forgotten Classic Car Favourites Of The 60s, 70s & 80s Set For The Beaulieu International Autojumble - Austin Maxi 1970

Beaulieu is asking for owners of everyday forgotten classic cars of the 60s, 70s and 80s to join a new display for the next International Autojumble. The return of the jumble is set for two days over the weekend of Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September.

Cars that were a feature of every street corner from 1960 to 1990 but have all but disappeared are to be celebrated in a feature display.

The sort of family transport used on driving holidays, remember those? With their sticky vinyl seats and wind up windows and air conditioning.

Expect beige to be a feature of the display as well as other amusing colour schemes from the period, mostly thanks to British Leyland.

Many of these cars are likely to be scarce and rarer than many exotics.

So, if you have a well-cared for and loved car from before 1990 that is no longer a common sight then you can apply to be in the display. Visit www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/international-autojumble/forgotten-favourites.

Limited places are available but if your vehicle is part of the show then you get free entry for two over the three days. Places are limited and show entry is free for vehicles that are accepted. Successful owners will receive a pair of entry wristbands for the International Autojumble.

It’s hoped that the display will have everything from the Vauxhall Chevette, the Austin Allegro, Datsun Bluebird to A Renault 16.

If you have a Volkswagen Polo, a Citroen CX, Triumph Toledo and of course a Volvo 240 you would be more than welcome.

Just think, when did you last see a Talbot Samba of a DAF 66?

The Autojumble has been anticipated now for what seems too long and makes a welcome return to the classic calendar and is the best place to search for those missing parts, bargains or spontaneous purchases.

Amongst the vast array of stalls, you will find historic vehicle spares, models, books, vintage clothing, signs, advertising and memorabilia.

Automart will be there featuring a wide range of cars for sale. Dealermart offering some of the best condition classics available from traders.

You can get an early bird ticket for one or both days and a limited number of those are premium tickets giving priority parking and fast entry with an included showguide.
