This a serious book, written with the co-operation of the factory you aren’t going to get a better resource about the W124 series Mercedes.
The W124 was quite a long running model, the two facelifts lasting 13 years before being replaced. The W124 is one of the best Mercedes ever made, making for a good modern classic.
The book covers all major markets with a wealth of contemporary photographs and Mercedes images.
It’s not a cheap book but considering the amount of information inside it is worth it.

This actually looks like fun. A little book packed with facts, trivia and statistics. Oh and of course, all the answers.
The 150 multiple choice questions have stories behind them, so you’ll know what car was mentioned in a National Security memo to President Jimmy Carter or which Hollywood movie star appeared in a round of the British Saloon Car Championship.
Author David Milloy will even donate 25% of the royalties to charity too. There’s no excuse not to buy it now, it’s cheap too.

The Galloping Sausage and Other Train Curiosities: 150 Steam Railway Events and Stories
It’s funny, but I was feeling hungry when I came across this, so maybe that’s why it appeals. Railway history is interesting anyway, so I don’t mind including it. I’d have a train if I could.
Anyway, the formative years of Britain’s railways produced some very strange things. Some of the weird schemes, designs and odd behaviours set the scene for the future. As more regulations were brought in this led to a more common sense approach. Though the weather, we still have that problem, and the complex nature of running a railway produced a range of incidents and unusual equipment.
Over 150 snippets, stories and strange facts, looks entertaining.
