Live And Let Drive... Bond Cars: The Definitive History
Ok, not a brand new book, somehow I missed this one. It’s not a complete guide either, but has quite a few of my favourites. The Lotus Esprit for a start and the DBS V8 Vantage from the Living Daylights is there.
It’s not too expensive now, for a hardback, and while some have given it mixed reviews it’s got to be one for the bookshelf.

Back to the Future: Delorean Time Machine: Doc Brown's Owner's Workshop Manual (Haynes Manual)
If you go back in time haynes used to make car manuals, the sort you had with you when trying to fix your broken motor. Now they produce more lifestlye books and these are fantastic.
A mix of history and how it works, I’ve got a few and I don’t need to read this one to know it’s going to be good and I want it.

VW Beetle: The Golden Years 1949-1968
I must confess to not knowing nearly as much about the VW Beetle as I should. This is where I need to start obviously.
An upcoming release, available for pre-order, this is renowned VW expert Richard Copping’s latest book. He has written many books about the Beetle and if I’m going to learn from anyone it’s got to be Richard.

The Stock Car Ghosts: The Story of the 1955 American Stock Car Tour Across England.
This looks like it was a lot of fun back in the day. It sounds as if it’s got all the hallmarks of aa sound idea decending into chaos.
From the back cover: The true story of two South Carolina stock car promotors and their race drivers who begin the challenge of a UK tour during 1955 in a very different London. After finsing initial success the team soon run into trouble involving money, deception and Scotland Yard…
Sounds like an amusing read.

Ghia: Masterpieces of Style
Another pre-order and you’re going to have to wait a while, but this one might be worth reserving a copy of. There hasn’t been that much written containing a complete history of Ghia, the Italian styling house from Turin. If you want to all about them then this could be the book.
Ghia were responsible for some of the most stunning cars produced. Alfa Romeo 6C 2500s. Some Ferraris, the more unusual ones. The VW Karmann Ghia, Fiat 2300 S and of course the DeTomasa Pantera and Mangusta. They were so good Ford bought them.
