Ferrari 330 GTS Is Top Seller At Bonhams UK Live Sale At Goodwood SpeedWeek

One of only 100 Ferrari 330 GTS Spiders has sold at Bonhams Live sale at Goodwood SpeedWeek for £1,269,400.

Ferrari said when the car was new that it is the ‘world’s finest convertible two-seater’. It has also become one of Ferraris rarest V12 engine convertibles with the low production volume. Identified by chassis number 10113, this GTS was luxuriously appointed with leather seats, electric windows and the optional Borrani wheels.

You might remember the rare 1967 car from the launch of the new Bonhams sale platform in April (See this article here). Well, the sales platform has proven successful, with fixed price private sales and auctions taking place over the internet.

The 330 GTS was sold after quite lengthy bidding by two determined buyers. One using the online platform, the other by more traditional telephone.

Appropriately the second highest selling lot was the 330 GTS successor. At the same 17 October auction was a 1969 Ferrari 365 GTC. Another rare V12 convertible, one of only 22 right hand drive models produced. This car had been professionally restored in the 1990s and had spent time in Italy, Canada and the USA before coming to the UK. The Ex Chester Collection car sold for £531,300.

The top three was rounded off with a third Ferrari. A 1974 Dino 246 GTS Coupé which sold for £300,000. This is a later late ‘chairs and flares’ example. With Daytona style seats and flared wheel arches had been subject to a 100-point concours standard restoration.
