Corgi Does James Bond. Aston Martin DB5, Goldfinger, No Time To Die, Casino Royale
Corgi have several James Bond Aston Martin DB5 models from Goldfinger, Casino Royale and No Time To Die.
Just in time for Christmas? Maybe, as they are all pre order, but one lives in hope. However, due to some disruprion during 2020 they might arrive in the new year. But, they will undoubtedly sell out regardless.
First up we have the most famous Corgi product of all time the Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5. This replica of the original No. 261 release from 1965 is being produced in the original packaging of that very model. There is even a set of instructions hidden inside a secret compartment. The functioning ejector seat is there along with the pop out machine guns and the bullet proof shield on the back. You can even rotate the numberplate.
Next we have another DB5, but from a more recent film, Casino Royale. The car that won by Bond in a game of poker is a left hand drive example. Complete with it’s unique blue and yellow registration plates from Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.
Lastly Corgi have the latest incarnation of the Aston DB5 as it will appear in No time To Die. Complete with distressed appearance, scrapes, gunshot damage to the bulletproof bodywork and glass. There are even a pair of machine guns, just as you would see in the trailer. Good news, in the film the car is a replica. No Real Aston Martin DB5s were harmed.
This is a model of the car seen at the end of Spectre having been rebuilt, now wears a brand new Italian registration plate and is a large feature of the upcoming film.
There is a nice presentation box to accompany the model too.
Of course there are more Bond cars, not just the Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger edition, all of which are available from Corgi to pre order directly.
