The Artcurial sale results from the July 2020 auction in Monte Carlo are in. Selling some 90 cars for a total of €7,2M or $8,2M including premium. At the same sale, held over the daus before the collectors cars was the sale of Jewellery, Watches, Hermès Vintage. This made a total of nearly €7M or $8M showing that it’s not just cars that attract the bidders.

1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing
This spectacular condition Gullwing has only covered 38,000 miles from new. Specified with the rare Rudge knock off wheels and the NSL Engine (Nockenwelle Sport Leicht, a lightweight sport camshaft).
Sold for €1,416,000 or $1,614,240 including premium.
1990 Ferrari F40
Owned for the last 10 years by an enthusiast, this low mileage Swedish titled Ferrari F40 came with it’s service book, tool kit and luggage set.

1939 Bugatti 57 Cabriolet 4 seater by Vanvooren
This 1939 Bugatti 57 is one of the legendary Bordeaux Orphans. When the factory was relocated during the war, five cars didn’t receive a chassis number and only have the engine number stamped. This is also one of the last Type 57s built and the last 4-seater Bugatti Cabriolet built by Vanvooren
The car was even exhibited at the Paris Motor Show.
Sold for €500,600 or $570,684.
1978 ALPINE A110 1600 SX
The 1600 SX is the rarest of all the Alpines. Presented very nicely haveing been restored.
The Vallelunga was the first road car manufactured by De Tomaso. Built between 1964 and 196, only 58 were produced. Each one having an inline 1.6L 4 cylinder Ford engine.
This example’s chassis had been built with a competition bias.

1962 Bentley S3 Continental Cabriolet Park Ward
This Bentley Continental was bought new by Eddie Fisher and Elizabeth Taylor.
One of the 26 LHD convertibles that were produced.
